visit of the galleries

Walking around Geneve and checking the art spaces, we have seen some good exhibitions.
Here are some of them :

- Andreas Dobler at the gallery Evergreene (www.evergreene.ch)
Under the title “Far-fetched, skilled & insightful” there are paintings and graphics featuring cosmic landscapes and situations with geometrical figures in a blue light.

- Gary Webb at the Centre d’art contemporain de Genève (www.centre.ch)
Sculptures of bright color combined of organic and synthetic materials that evoke the shiny plastic industrial design of shopping malls.

- Charles Sandison at the Centre pour l’image contemporaine (www.centreimage.ch)
Digital video installations with words and signs, which move in a chaotic motion and come to form images and phrases. Finding themselves in the space of one of them, visitors become a canvas for the projection of words “good”, “evil”, “love”, “hate” etc.

- Amy O’Neill and Yves Mettler at the gallery Blancpain Stepczynski” (www.galeriebs.ch)
Graphic works by Amy O’Neill with the images of mutant trees under the exhibition title “If I were A Carpenter”, and the sculptural installation by Yves Mettler that presents an “urban jungle” of high blocks of flats and the audio recordings of the fictional conversations of its inhabitants.
