SUMMIT—Non Aligned Initiatives in Education Culture

Summit is a proposal to change the terms of the debate away from a purely bureaucratic engagement with quantitative and administrative demands and from the ongoing tendency to privatize knowledge as socalled "intellectual property". Instead of concerns with its organisational dimensions we would hope to steer it towards some of the important questions faced by our cultures today : Knowledge and migrancy / Self-organisation, authorization, valorization / Creative practices / Education, Unrealized and Ongoing.
From May 24 to 28, differents formats of work for Summit : public program, working groups, open space, collaborative drafting of a declaration.

SUMMIT, organisé du 24 au 28 mai à Berlin par des artistes, des acteurs de la culture, est un événement expérimental et ouvert aux coopérations pour réfléchir une position "non alignée" pour l’éducation à l’art et à la culture. Summit fera suite à des échanges préparatoires dont celui du 18 avril à Art Academy à Vienne qui réunira Kodwo Eshun (Londres), Susanne Lang (Berlin), Irit Rogoff (Londres), Florian Schneider (Munich), Nicolas Siepen (Berlin) et Nora Sterfeld (Vienne).
